Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Wednesday 19th May 2021 at 7.30 p.m. in Barrasford Village Hall.
The Parish Council met at Barrasford Village Hall, observing all Covid precautions.
1.Cllr.Heslop welcomed everyone to the meeting which began at 7.30 p.m.
Present: Cllr Heslop, Cllr Pigg, Cllr Johnson, Cllr Eggleston, Cllr Tarbit, Cllr Charlton, Cllr Lowdon , Cllr Bennett, County Councillor Morphet and Clerk Liz Atkinson.
Cllr Heslop welcomed C.Cllr.Morphet and congratulated on his election. He assured C.Cllr Morphet the Parish Council would help in any way needed.
Cllr Andrew Bennet was also welcomed, and all members introduced themselves to the meeting to allow the two new councillors to identify them.
2.Apologies for absence: None.
3.Confirmation of Chair for the Annual Meeting.
Cllr. Tarbit proposed Cllr. Heslop which Cllr. Lowdon seconded.
Cllr Heslop took the Chair for the meeting.
4.Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 17th June 2020 were accepted as an accurate record by all and signed by the Chair.
5.There were no matters arising.
6.Review of 2020-2021.
Cllr. Heslop had circulated a copy of his report to all Parish Councillors prior to the meeting. (A copy will remain with the minutes).
Once again Cllr Heslop wished to thank the strong team he felt they had become.
He believed it was an interesting Parish in the way it was laid out and wished to encourage those within the Parish to use funding e.g. Green Rigg and Reay Estates if they needed small grants for local projects.
7.Accounts for year ended 31st March 2021.
The Clerk had circulated all necessary documents relating to the Accounts to the Parish Councillors prior to the meeting. Approval of the documents would be considered at the Parish Council Meeting which followed this meeting.
8.Any Other Business.
None.
The Meeting closed at 7.40p.m.
